Solid-Phase Extraction (SPE) is a sample preparation process by which compounds that are dissolved or suspended in a liquid mixture are separated from other compounds in the mixture according to their physical and chemical properties. Analytical laboratories use solid phase extraction to concentrate and purify samples for analysis. Solid phase extraction can be used to isolate analytes of interest from a wide variety of matrices, including urine, blood, water, beverages, soil, and animal tissue. There includes use of adsorbent to attach target compounds in liquid sample adsorption, so separate from matrix interference of the compound sample, then elute, achieve the target of separation and enrichment of target sample. Solid phase extraction includes activation, loading, washing and eluting four procedures, choose suitable adsorbents in the process of washing and elution of compounds, adsorbed first target compounds and wash off other interference, but also can make the target compound to leaching down to be collected, the interference of retention (adsorption) in adsorption agent, the two separated.
Solid phase extraction device composed of three parts: solid phase extraction chamber, suction flask and vacuum pump. existing device is arranged from left to right in the three part. Due to the use of volatile organic solvents, the device must operate in a ventilation cabinet which is often only enough to put one. the ventilation cabinet's space is very limited, so SupertechTM SPE workstation, through the plastic base, the vacuum pump is a cuboid by rear solid phase extraction apparatus is fixed in the rectangular slot, suction flask by glue fixed in the vacuum pump above, so that the three parts with very compact, to save space. The suction flask placed on top of vacuum pump, which increase the weight so as to use gravity to eliminate waste liquid automatically. 1 automatic waste collection and discharge design: 180mm high from desktop suction flask, increased drop-height.

Instructions:
1 protective film against corrosion: the panel has a transparent plastic material, on the upper surface covering plastic protective film, this is to prevent surface scratches or chemical corrosion, should not be torn off.
2 vacuum control valve: rotary vacuum control valve to adjust with holes, the outer hole aligned with the inner hole is vacuum unloading. Cross to close before run vacuum.
3 SPE column: flow control can be adjusted by the quark valve, vacuum pump control valve, SPE vacuum control valve.
4 closing all valves before vacuum process: before vacuum process, close all non-inserted cartridge valve, closes the waste quark valve at suction flask, vacuum pumping can not afford otherwise.
5 waste disposal: by the suction flask collection of waste liquid, the liquid discharge valve, suction flask (1L) just above the joint is connected to the vacuum pump; waste comes from glass cylinder bottom out, by the middle of the suction flask into glass nozzle. In the absence of suction flask or waste cylinder case, do not use direct vacuum pump vacuum, or short circuit burned out vacuum pump due to water. Open the suction flask bottom valve, can discharge the waste liquid, at the end, the other end can be slightly raised and tilted discharge.
6 timely waste water: Although the vacuum pump with water proof device, the amount of waste suction bottle should be controlled in 0.8L below, should be timely exhaust.
7 must be cleaning system: in order to keep the tank clean, at the end of each experiment, the 100-300mL must be added to tap water in a glass bowl, open the vacuum pump, to pump all suction bottle, cleaning liquid from the discharge valve.
8 FAQ questions: if the vacuum pumping can be applied, should check whether the closed waste water valve, vacuum control valve and channel quarks not inserted SPE column on the suction flask.

Instrument maintenance:
1 please keep the environment clean, dust, high temperature and high humidity environment will affect the service life of the instrument.
2 before cleaning the instrument, pull off the power plug from the socket. Please clean the instrument using ethanol soaked cloth. When cleaning, do not use liquid detergent spray cleaning agent, can not use a hard brush to clean the instrument. Instruments either, cool, dry environment helps to extend the life of instrument.
3 please put the instrument in the level of the laboratory table or the use under ventilation in the cabinet, please keep the instrument from heat source.
